Aspron Trachy (Electrum, 29 mm, 4.27 g, 6 h), Constantinopolis, circa 1195-1197. +ΚЄ ROHΘЄI Christ, nimbate, seated facing on throne without back, wearing pallium and colobium, raising his right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels in his left; above, IC - XC. Rev. [AΛЄΣIⲰ ΔЄCΠO]TЄC Alexius III standing facing on the left, wearing crown and loros, holding labarum set on globe together with St. Constantine, standing facing on the right, nimbate, bearded and crowned, wearing divitision and loros; both holding laabrum. DOC 2a. SB 2009. Brushed and with some minor doubling on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
